The under-11 chess team of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya won the first place in the under-9 girls division of Group A in the 2023 Grand Final Team Chess Tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka School Chess Association. Additionally, in that tournament our school’s under-9 chess team secured third place in the under-9 girls division of Group A.

Under the patronages of Apsari Thilakarathne and Air force Commander Udeni Senevirathna and under the guidance of principal Dr.Mrs.Sumedha Jayaweera, the school Annual Sports Meet was held on 04/09/2024 at the school Play ground.
